Trap Report:
We have plenty of 12 gauge shotgun ammo available for purchase. Just a reminder that on April 1, 2025 the new Colorado 6.5% Sin Tax on guns and ammo will take effect so purchase ammo prior to April 1 to avoid that additional tax.
Youth Trap Report:
Registration for youth trap opens Feb 1st.
The Chaffee County Young Guns will be doing a presentation to the Chaffee County Patriots on Jan 10th at the CC Patriots Monthly Meeting
The Lake County Sharpshooters will be attending a SCTP shoot on Feb 23rd in Las Vegas
Sunday Rimfire Shoot Update:
Just a reminder that this is a year round event as we have a heated inside shooting area on the rifle range. The shoot is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at the rifle range. Sight in at 9am, Shoot starts at 10am. Contact Doug Dreier - 719-395-4424 for any additional details.
Old Business:
Mark Arnold is asking for permission to use the trap range for a newly formed youth trap team. The board has asked that Mark fill out the Facilities Use Agreement package for review and approval/denial.
New Business:
Greg would like to build an awning over the door nearest the trap field to help keep ice off the cement pad outside the door and to give us a place to BBQ during events in the case of bad weather. Jake said that he would take the lead on getting information around permits and cost.
