June minutes read and approved

Treasurer report:
A bank balance of $38,800. The final profit from our Gun Show came in at $3907. We had low expenses and continued revenue from trap shooting.

New members
Robert Rayburn, Jack Nichols and Ed Boxer. Total active members now 117.

Old Business:
Rex Roberson has presented a new pistol shooting program for BVSC. He has required NRA safety and teaching certificates and carries his own $2,000,000 liability insurance. His proposal to begin Thursday night pistol programs and offer pistol classes was approved by the Board on a provisional basis till year end. These events are not to keep members from personal use of the range. Bruce Cogan has approved this use of the range. Rex’s plan is to alternate Steel Challenge and Practical Shooting exercises (.22 and 9 mm) on Thursday night 5 pm.

Rex is also rebuilding our website along with Linda Craig.

New Business:
We are looking into new signage for the clubhouse. Also we are pouring several concrete pads at the trap range. Many thanks to Erik Phillips for donating the concrete and Steve Shelton for all the work he’s put in at both ranges.

We need a few volunteers to help with our registered ATA shoot July 31 and August 21. Contact Greg Newton to volunteer.
