Treasurer’s Report – June’s Numbers

  • Total Cash Assets: $31,605.91

  • Total Inventory: $10,733.50

  • Income: $3,963.78

Membership Report

  • Total Members: 200

Trap Report

·        ATA Event went well.

o   Gross $3553, Net $821.39

o   25 singles shooters 18 doubles shooters, 24 handicap shooters

o   Preston shot his first 100 in Leadville. Congratulations Preston.

·        Shotgun Shell and Lead Pricing

o   Going forward all components will be priced at cost plus tax. This will be determined by the shotgun chairman and the treasurer. This does not need to be voted on.

·        Trap Scoring Software

o   We have a new computer program for trap scoring.

o   It’s much easier to use

o   Greg and Erik can train new users

Youth Trap Report

·        18 shooters at Pikes Peak Gun Club

o   Finished 2nd overall in Colorado Springs

·        Shotgun summer school will be starting on Wednesday nights during the summer

·        The youth team has started competing in 5 stand.

Rifle Report

  • None

Rimfire Report

  • There was no shoot on 6/15 due to Fathers Day

  • There will be a shoot on 7/6

Pistol Report

  • Pistol Range Container: The container has been painted.

Old Business

  • Grant Update

    • Still no response from CPW.

  • Clubhouse Porch Covering:

    • Greg Newton obtained revised estimate: $1,100–$1,300.

    • Motion passed (11 for / 0 opposed) to approve, subject to club getting city approval (required by lease agreement).

  • 5 Stand Houses: Jake would like to build houses for the 5 stand machines so that they can be left out on the field for use. He will get a cost for building them.

    • Jake’s estimate is about $900 per house so we are looking at $5400.

  • Water for Clubhouse: We need someone to take over filling the water tank at the clubhouse.

    • If you can help. Let Rex Roberson (bvsportsmansclub@gmail.com) know.

    • The cost of a small trailer to mount the transfer tank on will cost the club around $1500.

    • Rex will check to see if we can register a trailer to the Club, and if we can get water from the water station on Gregg Drive.

  • Lead Reclamation Project

    • 94786 pounds, 70/30 split, sold lead for $.75/pound, Net return - $19,666

 New Business

·        Trap Throwers

o   Erik will be ordering new parts for the trap throwers.

o   The belt tension needs to be backed off after each shoot and reset prior to each shoot in order to keep the machines working properly.

·        Unauthorized Use of Trap Range

o   A dog walker reported to Greg Newton, that 3 weeks ago she saw some kids shooting rifles into one of the banks.
